Welcome to the Capital USA Dance May Update

Greetings, USA Dancers!

Spring is finally sprung, or maybe it's better described as ever so slowly unwound! Temperatures are rising, flowers are blooming, and summer dancing fun is on the way. Here's what's happening with USA Dance.

Member Involvement

In recent months, we've had help from a growing number of volunteers, and the board would like to thank everyone who has stepped up to contribute! We also want to continue to encourage all our members to take part in the running of the organization. Working together, we can achieve great things

Lots of opportunities to participate will be available in the coming months, so if you'd like to contribute a few hours of your time, please let us know! Some great ideas:

  • Staff the registration desk during dances.
  • Help produce Footnotes, our newsletter.
  • Work on special events, like National Ballroom Dance Week, Black Tie Gala, and the New Year's Eve Gala.
  • Join the public relations or membership committees.
  • Say hello to us at one of our events or drop us a line, and give us your ideas and feedback!

May Dance This Sunday - Venue Change!

Due to scheduling complications, this month's third Sunday dance has had a change of venue! It will be held at Ballroom on Sunset (13 Sunset Drive, Latham, NY). The event features music and a waltz lesson by Ron Tritto.

See our website for more details.

Upcoming Events

  • Our June (Sunday, June 15th) dance is also changing venue, to Danceland (638 Columbia Street, Latham, NY *In The Dollar General Plaza). There'll be music from Dancin' Time with Dancin' David & Dawn, and a Tango lesson by Rita Russell.
