Welcome to the Capital USA Dance May Update

Greetings, USA Dancers!

Spring has sprung, and the warm weather has finally arrived. Time to celebrate!
We've got lots of fun in the works. Read on to see what's coming up.

See you this Sunday...

Senior Facility Ballroom Dance Program

Capital USA Dance has re-inaugurated our senior facility program. Spearheaded by member Karen Pulver and staffed by dozens of volunteers, this program brings music and dance to senior facilities throughout the Capital District.

The inaugural event, at Saratoga Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Ballston Spa, took place on April 29th, and was a rousing success! Five more events are currently planned for coming months, with more to come.

If you would like to participate, please contact Karen Pulver for details!

Membership In USA Dance

Do you have your USA Dance membership card? A few years back, USA Dance switched from old-fashioned plastic membership cards that you had to wait to have mailed to you, to instant, "print-it-yourself" cards you can download from their website. While this makes getting your card when you join or renew your membership online much more convenient, we've been told by many of our members that they forgot to do it, or didn't know because they paid by mail!

However, actually having your card has a bunch of benefits! Showing your card when you enter one of our chapter events speeds up registration, and ensures you get your membership discount. It also lets you access the benefits available from our new Membership Benefits Program, which includes Hotel/Motel discounts ranging from 10% to 25%, 20-25% discounts on car rentals, up to 80% discounts on preferred office supplies, prescription drug discounts of up to 55%, and lots of others.

To access your card, just visit the national website at http://usadance.org/. Under the "Membership" menu, click "Join/Renew". If you need to create or renew an expired membership, or you are a current member who did not use the website to join in the first place, follow the "Join/Renew" link at the top of the page, and follow the instructions. If you are a current member who did sign up via the website, just click the "Edit" link. If you remember your membership number and password, just type them in. If not, you can follow the "Forgot Your Password" link to get an email.

Once you are logged in, click on "Membership Info", and you'll see a link at the left of the page, "View/Print My Membership Card". Go here to print your card!
