Welcome to the Capital USA Dance February Update

Greetings, USA Dancers!

It is COLD outside! What you need to do is get your self to a hot dance to beat the chill. Read on to see what's coming up.

See you this Sunday...

Membership Contest

From March through June of this year, we will be running a membership contest for the chapter. For this drive, we are asking each ofour members to go out and 'double themselves' by bringing a new member into the fold! So get out there, and beat the bushes for new members. There will be fabulous prizes fot the top three recruiters!

Winners will be announced during the June dance, which will be the last opportunity to register new members for the contest. Stay tuned for more details and procedures in next month's update!

Capital USA Dance February Dance

Our February dance will be held on Sunday, February 15th at 6 P.M. Our venue will once again be the Polish Community Center at 225 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY.

Our winning theme this month is Prom Night! Bring your prom pictures to show off, and if you like, dig out your old prom clothes for the dance (we promise not to judge your youthful sartorial indiscretions)!

Our DJ will be Jim Apicella and there will be a bolero lesson with Hershell Allen from 6:15 to 7:00. For a special treat, we will have two showcases! The first will be a bolero by Hershell and Wendy, and the second will be a team showcase choreographed and performed by members of the RPI Ballroom Dance Team.

As always, admission is $10 for members, $13 for non-members, $5 for students and free for volunteers and under 18.
