Welcome to Capital USA Dance

This is the official website of the New York State Capital District chapter (#3014) of USA Dance, the national amateur ballroom dancers' association (formerly USABDA). We serve the entire Capital Region, including Albany, Troy, Schenectady, Saratoga, Latham, and Clifton Park, along with many others. Our mission is to promote ballroom dancing and its healthful benefits in three ways: ballroom as a social activity; ballroom as a form of exercise; and ballroom as a sport (aka Dancesport).

Here, you will find links and resources for ballroom, latin, tango, and swing dancing, a discussion forum, and a dance events calendar for all kinds of dancing in the Capital District.

USA Dance will host a New Years Eve Gala at The Vista Restaurant located at the Van Patton Golf course in Clifton Park.  The Vista is a beautiful venue with great food.  We've had our NYE party there for several years now and it always gets rave reviews. ... More

USA Dance will be at Colonie Center on Wednesday September 30th from 6 to 9 PM.

There will be general dancing and 20 showcase performances by local dancers.

12th Annual Black Tie Gala will be held on September 12th at the Empire State Convention Center.  

Music will be by Peter Collins, a nationally renowned ballroom DJ.
